This weekend, Sept. 8 & 9, the City of Manassas Fire & Rescue Department will be out at two local community events. On Saturday, Sept. 8, City of Manassas Fire & Rescue personnel will be at the “We Remember” event at the Signal Hill Chick-fil-A in remembrance of the fallen on Sept. 11, 2001. On Sunday, Sept. 9, City of Manassas Fire & Rescue will be at Mini’s Mission Kickball Tournament at E.G. Smith Baseball Fields on Godwin Drive. Other events happening in the City of Manassas this weekend include; the Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., auditions at the Candy Factory for “The Little Mermaid,” and a book talk at the Manassas Museum on Sunday at 2 p.m. about the post-war relationship between John Singleton Mosby and Ulysses S.
