The Hylton Center for the Performing Arts recognized Chris Colleran as 2012 Member of the Year.  The award was part of the year-end meeting for the Hylton's Membership Committee.  

Rick Davis, Executive Director commented that he sees "the membership committee as the heart and soul of the performing arts center."  The committee is responsible for increasing memberships to the Hylton.  Membership fees contribute to the direct operating costs.  It is important because subcriptions and ticket sales make up 60% of the costs to run the center.  The rest comes from community support via contributions and donations which ensure quality performing arts programs.

"Chris has proven his committment to the performing arts and the Hylton through his efforts over the last two years," states Guy Hinkler, chairman of the Committee. This past year Colleran worked to involve more Old Town businesses directly with the membership and other committees.
