Annual Help the Homeless Community Walk

Help SERVE reach their goal of 3,000 walkers to raise $50,000

The first  Help the Homeless Community Walk will take place this Saturday, Sept. 24 in Manassas, and will take place rain or shine.

SERVE is a 60-bed emergency shelter in Manassas and is the local campus for Northern Virginia Family Services, a private nonprofit.

Together, the groups provide an array of services to residents in western Prince William county, Manassas and Manassas Park that find themselves in a bind, and are continuing that effort by hosting the walk.

Last year the food distribution center handed out over $2 million dollars worth of food to 900 families per month.
