Boys & Girls Club Prince William Offers Free Haircuts
The local youth-based activity and mentoring club has teamed up with Hair Cuttery to provide 40 gift cards to youth under the age of 18.
The local Boys & Girls Club is teaming up with Hair Cuttery for some refreshing back to school news: get a shampoo, condition, cut and blow dry for free.
The first to fill out this form will be awarded a gift card for a haircut just in time for the first day of school, Sept. 4.
The gift cards are only available to youth under the age of 18, according to the request form provided by the club. And there is only one gift card per family.
Potomac Local reports that the program dubbed "40 FREE shampoo, condition, cut and blow dry" has been a collaborated effort between the hair shop and club for over four years. The announcement was made via an email sent out Thursday, the report said.
The local youth-based activity club just wrapped up their summer "Send a Kid to Camp" initiative—an effort by the three Prince William Boys and Girls clubs to raise $40,000 for camper scholarships. All three clubs offered various programming for ages 5 – 17 that covered sports, youth and teen camps. All camps took place June through August 2012. The club’s programs reflect their "Formula for Impact," a personalized formula that assists members in achieving personal growth in academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles by mixing in key elements of outcome-focused initiatives.
