California Man Accused of Shipping Marijuana to Prince William

Evan James Polk, of Truckee, CA, was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

A California man flew out to Prince William County to sell marijuana, only to be arrested after authorities conducted a sting, Prince William County Police said Tuesday.

Evan James Polk, 28, of Jeffrey Pine Road in Truckee, CA, was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Undercover detectives from the Prince William-Manassas City-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force investigated alongside the DEA, FBI and the Nevada County Sheriff's Office in California. They arranged for Polk to fly out to Prince William and arrested him without incident on Oct. 18 in the area near Liberia Avenue and Signal Hill Road in Manassas.

Polk's court date was unavailable. He was held without bond.
