Manassas Launches Arbor Day Poster Contest

The theme is "City of Manassas Trees: What are they good for?"

The City of Manassas' 29th Annual Arbor Day Celebratio will again include a poster contest for local students.

The theme of this year's poster contest is "City of Manassas Trees: What are they good for?"

The contest is open to students from kindergarten to 5th grade. All posters must includes the theme. Posters are due April 10 at the Manassas Visitor Center, 9431 West St.

Held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at Walter Delisle Park, the Arbor Day event is hosted by the City of Manassas Utilities and The Manassas Beautification Committee.

The winner will be announced at the event, along with the presented of the Tree City USA award to the city.
