Crime Blotter: TSA Employee Arrested for Assaulting Woman

The assault occurred on Winfield Loop near Manassas and involved a Transportation Security Administration employee, according to police. This, and other crime reports, from Prince William County over the weekend.

TSA Employee Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman

Prince William County Police responded to investigate a report of a sexual assault  in the 10500 block of Winfield Loop Sunday at 3:25 a.m.

The victim, identified as a 37-year-old woman,  reported to police that she and a friend were in the area when they were approached by an unknown man.

An investigation identified the accused as 52-year-old Harold Glenn Rodman, of Winfield Loop in Prince William County.

At the time of the incident, Rodman, a TSA employee, was wearing a uniform and displayed a badge to the victim. He then sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing on foot, police said.

Arriving officers conducted a canvass of the area where the incident allegedly occurred, and located Rodman at his residence. He matched the description provided by the victim. Rodman was taken into custody, police said. The investigation revealed that Rodman was a TSA employee and was wearing his uniform at the time of the incident. He has been charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, forcible sodomy and abduction with intent to defile, police said. 

TSA officials told the Washington Post Rodman has been removed from security operations pending an investigation.

Three Women Attack Backyard Grill Patron

Police in Prince William County responded to a call on Saturday, November 19 at 2:38 p.m. for an assault at the Backyard Grill located on Sudley Road near Manassas. 

The victim, a 28-year-old woman of Vienna, told police she was
inside the restaurant when she was approached by three unknown women. A verbal altercation ensued, but was stopped, police said.


That is when the women left the restaurant and waited for the victim
in the parking lot where they assaulted her. Minor injuries were reported. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the assailants.

Motorcyle Stolen from Home on Leland Road

Prince William County Police responded to the 8000 block of Leland Road near Manassas for a burglary.

The homeowner told police the burglary occurred sometime between 4:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, November 19.

There were no signs of forced entry into the residence, police said. Entry is believed to have been made through a rear door on an attached garage. A motorcycle and custom helmet valued around $5,000 were reported missing.
