Police Blotter: Two Men Throw Street Sign in Yard
The City of Manassas Police Department is investigating a vandalism case that occurred Sept. 7th.
Two men reportedly shook a city street sign loose at the corner of Fairfax Street and Tackett Avenue, then threw it into a nearby yard in the early morning hours of Sept. 7, City of Manassas police said.
An officer responded to a complaint Sept. 7 and found the sign on the ground. A resident of the area provided the officer with surveillance footage, which police said showed the two men leaving an unidentified vehicle around 2 a.m.
Police said after the men threw the sign in the yard they then left the area on foot, heading down Tackett Avenue in the direction of King Carter Street.
Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. The 24-hour tip line is 703-330-0330.

Much like Garth, I have been scouring the Police Blotter for distinguished examples of local reporting of breaking news. I find this to be one of them. Keep up the stellar writing Mary! Sincerely, Joseph Pulitzer
