  1. St. Patrick’s Day Parade
    Where/When: Old Town Manassas; Saturday, March 12, 2011; 11:00 a.m.
    Why Go: Celebrating its 12th year, Greater Manassas is putting on a slew of St. Patty’s holiday cheer to remember. Pipe and Drum groups from around the area will perform along with the Marine Corps Color Guard and Irish dance groups.
    Pricing: Free.

 

  1. The Blarney Ball
    Where/When
    : Candy Factory; March 12, 2011; 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
    Why Go: Continue your St. Patrick’s Day celebration Saturday evening at the Candy Factory with a lovely ball sponsored by the Center for the Arts in Old Town Manassas. Enjoy traditional Irish dishes, folk dancing, and a play by Rooftop Productions!
    Pricing: $75 per ticket or $400 for a group of six.

 

  1. “Strikes for SERVE” Bowlathon
    Where/When: Bowl America on Mathis Avenue; Saturday, March 12, 2011; 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Why Go: This event brings community awareness for SERVE, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping those in need find self-reliance and better futures. Plus prizes will be given!
    Pricing: Team registration is closed. Join the wait list, form an honorary team, or sponsor a registered team. Visit the website for more details on fundraising requirements!

 

  1.  Go see The Lion in Winter
    Where/When: Hylton Performing Arts Center; Play March 11-20, 2011. 
    Why Go: This is a family fun event by Vpstart Crow Productions. The story portrays conflicts between a royal couple and their adult sons.
    Pricing: Adults $20; students and seniors $15

 

  1.  “Kegs and Eggs”
    Where/When: Philadelphia Tavern; Saturday, March 12, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
    Why Go: Grab brunch before going to the parade, and afterward celebrate with a spirit of Irish!

I know that The Old Towne Sports Pub is palnning to have a moonbounce, face painting , clowns and bands all day long at their location in Old Town Manassas this Saturday(3/12). I also heard that the Old Towne Sports Pub has secured plenty of parking in adjacent parking lot. Sounds like that will be the place to be this Saturday!
