I recently had a birthday. Yep, a handful of friends and family remembered it. A casino in Atlantic City is always the first to send me a card. But my email box exploded with Happy Birthday greetings (and gifts) from many of the businesses I follow all around the DC-area.

In the event you have a birthday coming up soon, here is a short list of some places around Manassas that offer a free gift during your birthday month if you're signed up for their newsletter. (Per an earlier column, many of these businesses will also send you a thank you gift for signing up). 

A couple of disclaimers: First, some businesses change their gift occasionally, so I can't guarantee the gifts are always as they read above. Second, most of the gifts above are BOGO (Buy 1 Get 1) which require you to purchase something to get the free offer.
