Lone Manassas Blockbuster Store Closing

Residents will now have to go to Lake Ridge for the closest storefront.

The Blockbuster store in The Manassas Junction Shopping Center is closing on Feb. 19th.

All used DVDs are selling for $9.99 or less, according to a store employee.Video games are also 20 percent off.

Blockbuster customers will now have to go to Lake Ridge, which will be the closest location after the most recent store closing and the location on Dumfries Road closed about a year ago, according to the employee.

Those who still want to check out DVDs can check them out from Redbox, which has several locations nearby, including  the Giant grocery store in the same shopping center, Bloom Market and the new Walgreen's  at the intersection of Sudley and Centreville roads and the 7-11 located on Liberia Ave at the intersection with Euclid.

There is also a Blockbuster Express kiosk located at 9407 Grant Avenue, but ironically, the kiosks are not owned and operated by Blockbuster/Dish Network, so if you want to rent from Blockbuster you will have to sign up for Blockbuster by Mail, Blockbuster On Demand Downloads,  or head to Lake Ridge.
