Manassas Area Fire Causes $35,000 in Damages

The fire happened on Hensley Road, just outside of Manassas proper in Prince William County.

 

A fire in a shed behind a home on Hensley Road caused about $35,000 in damages, according to the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue, the agency that responded to the blaze. 

It happened Thursday at 11:31 p.m. on the 9400 block of Hensley Road in the Manassas area of Prince William County.

The first units of on the scene encountered, "heavy fire conditions" in the shed, according to a release from the department.

Prince William County firefighters were assisted by the Manassas Volunteer Fire Department and Prince William County Police, who kept the scene under control.

No injuries were reported and the blaze was extinguished.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the fire marshal’s office.
