Alisa Harvey, 46, of Manassas, crossed the finish line at the Bull Run Runners Festival of Lights 5K on New Year's Eve in less than 20 minutes.

Harvey clocked in with a chip time of 19:11 and gun time of 19:13, according to the Bull Run Runners website.

About 800 running enthusiasts from all over the northern Virginia region and those who wanted to pitch in on the fight against breast cancer joined Harvey to close out 2011 with a New Year’s Eve 5k race at the Bull Run Regional Park

The event, which is in its sixth year, is sponsored by the Bull Run Runners. Each year the group picks a different local charity to benefit from the race. This year 75 percent of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and 25 percent will benefit the local park.
