Maryland Couple Robbed at Gunpoint in Manassas

The two armed robbers reportedly stole cash, a purse and jewelry.

Two armed men robbed a Maryland couple over the weekend, Manassas City Police said.

The couple was visiting the area and had just parked at 8:45 p.m. on the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court Saturday, when two men approached and pointed handguns at them. The men demanded money and took cash, a purse and jewelry. The victims were not injured during the robbery.

The men fled on foot toward the 8600 block of Plantation Lane. The description of the alleged perpetrators was very limited, but they were tall, slender, black males wearing black hooded jackets. Police continue to investigate.
