New Smartphone App to Guide Manassas Battlefield Visitors
The new application will help tourists navigate the battleground by providing audio, video and animated content.
A smartphone application debuting later this month will provide a guided tour of the Manassas battlefield.
The app is being released just in time for the 150th commemoration of the Civil War and the First Battle of Manassas, which is taking place July 21-24 in Manassas and Prince William County.
The "Bull Run Battle App" was announced Tuesday, July 5, by the Civil War Trust and reportedly uses GPS technology and Apple's iPhone platform.
The app will consist of audio, video and animated content to help guide visitors through the local battleground.
