Osbourn Park High Student Dies in Manassas-area Crash
Police said a car crashed into a tree Thursday morning just outside of Manassas.
An Osbourn Park High student died in a car crash on Lake Jackson Drive just outside of Manassas on Thursday morning.
Michael Murphy Scmelzinger, 17, died at the scene of the crash located in the 10500 block of Lake Jackson Drive, said Prince William Police, who are investigating the crash.
Police said his 2008 Ford Mustang was southbound on Lake Jackson Drive when it left the roadway and hit a tree.
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
