Osbourn High School’s Izzy Freeman had a week to remember for the Eagles as he was a dominant force behind the team's three wins this week.

Freeman is a 7 foot 1 inch center for the Osbourn basketball team and he has been a huge part of the success that the Eagles have had so far in his Senior season.

In their first game this week, Osbourn beat Osbourn Park, 93-61 and Izzy played a big role in the win. The Eagles’ center scored 19 points in the game and also pulled down 18 rebounds, giving him a double-double in the game. He also played great defense inside, preventing Osbourn Park from getting easy baskets in the paint.

In the second game of the week, Osbourn topped Loudoun Valley by a final score of 74-44. Izzy Freeman was even more dominant in this game as the big man scored a whopping 27 points and pulled down 17 more rebounds. He also blocked 7 shots as he led his team to their second win of the week.

In their third and final game of the week, Osbourn got a 48-point victory over Colonial Forge as they won by a final of 85-37. After two dominant performances, Izzy came out in the third game and did not disappoint as the senior notched a triple double. He finished the game with 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocks. He also tallied 5 steals in the game. For the week, Izzy averaged 19.6 points and 15.6 rebounds.

Izzy Freeman obviously had an outstanding week, but the senior has been coming up big all season  for Osbourn as he has helped lead the team to a 16-1 record to date.

For the season, Izzy is averaging 16 points per game and is also averaging double-digit rebounds, meaning he is averaging a double-double. Freeman is looking to continue his dominance as Osbourn gets close to playoff time.  And if Izzy can continue to play like he did this past week, the sky is the limit for him and his Eagle teammates.

I agree Gary. He is always rushing over to help players up off the floor (teammates as well as the opposing player). If a player sort of just lets the ball fall instead of handing it to an official, he'll pick it up and hand it to the official. He encourages his teammate. One time I even saw him give a hard foul and then pat the player on the back as if to say "Man, I'm sorry I didn't mean to foul you".
Patch - EXCELLENT choice for your debut AOW.
