Osbourn's Jahaan Roberson

Osbourn basketball player Jahaan Roberson is the Manassas Patch Athlete of the Week for the week of February 14-20

Jahaan Roberson of Osbourn High School’s boys basketball team has been selected as the Manassas Patch Athlete of the Week. Roberson helped the Eagles basketball team to a district title this past week as they beat Battlefield in the championship game.

It was Jahaan Roberson’s performance in the district championship game  that earned him the  honor.

Osbourn’s star center, Izzy Freeman, was not as productive as he normally is in Friday night’s title game, but that turned out to be no problem as Jahaan Roberson came to the rescue.

The junior forward for the Eagles has been starting for the past few games due to his solid play and great hustle and showed Friday night that he deserves every minute he has on the court.

Roberson scored 18 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the championship game against Battlefield. His scoring ability and rebounding ability were both key in the victory for the Eagles.

Now, Roberson is looking forward to a solid game performance against Stafford Tuesday night in a regional quarterfinal match-up. Roberson and his Osbourn teammates will be looking to continue their stellar season as they are attempting to make a strong push for a state title.

Yes, Jahaan played great in the championship game. It was really nice to see someone like him step up and lead the team.
