Person Injured After Jumping Out of Train's Path

A pedestrian suffered a back injury after jumping out of the path of a Virginia Railway Express train Wednesday evening.

A person walking along the train tracks just north of Manassas Park was injured while trying to elude a Virginia Railway Express train Wednesday night, according to WUSA 9.

The pedestrian suffered a back injury after jumping off the tracks as  VRE Train 337 approached, Manassas City Fire Department officials told WUSA.

The person was not struck by the train, but was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The train stopped while the person received medical attention, but was on the move again a short time later.

Glad he is ok. Shouldn't have been on the tracks though.
