Petco Coming to Davis Ford Crossing in Manassas
Large pet supply store moving in by the end of the year.
Petco is expanding in Manassas, with a second store expected to open just off the Prince William County Parkway later this year.
The pet supply store has rented 10,000 sq. ft. in a corner of the Davis Ford Crossing shopping center, said Sheryl Simeck, spokesperson for leasing firm The Rappaport Companies.
Petco's current Manassas site is off Sudley Road near Interstate 66.
Expected to open by the end of the year, the new store will consolidate several smaller units in the nearly-full shopping center.
L.A. Fitness is expected to fill one of the other larger units.
Petco will be a short walk from boutique pet shop Pet Valu that opened last Fall at Hastings Marketplace.

I hope Pet Valu, located across the street from the new Petco, survives. It's nice to have a pet store other than Petco and Petsmart in our area.
