Police Seek Information in Decades-old Missing Person Case

Jerry Dewayne Plaster was last seen at his home in Manassas City in April of 1988 before he left with a friend for Manassas Mall.

Police in Manassas City are seeking answers in a missing person cold case from over 20 years ago.

According to police, Jerry Dewayne Plaster was reported missing by his family on May 17, 1988.

Plaster resided in the 9600 block of Brent St in the City of Manassas at the time of his disappearance. He was last seen on April 16, 1988 when he left his residence with a friend and went to the Manassas Mall.

He did not return home, and the new detective on the case,  Det. C. van Noppen has asked information regarding the missing person cold case be disseminated to the public after she received new information about the case, according to Manassas City Police Sergeant Eddie Rivera. 

It was the new leads that led to the case being reopened, Rivera added.

Plaster is described as a white male, 5'10", 135 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He was 25 years old when he went missing.
