Twilight Manassas City Cemetery Guided Tour
Join interpreters on September 10 as they share stories of prominent men buried in the Manassas City Cemetery.
Graveyard stories will echo through the Manassas City Cemetery during a Stories in Stone: Twilight Manassas City Cemetery guided tour on September 10 at 7:00 p.m. The Manassas Museum sponsored tour will incorporate true stories of Prince William County Cavalry members, a Congressional Medal of Honor winner and many other Civil War heroes buried in the cemetery.
Interpretive tour guides will also shed light on the adjacent Confederate cemetery established by the Ladies Memorial Association of Manassas and presently maintained by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The brownstone Confederate Memorial and reburial of Civil War soldiers will be topics of discussion during the twilight tour.
Advance tickets are available online at www.manassasmuseum.org or by phone at 703-368-1873 for the cost of $15 per person. Ticketholders can park at Whitt’s Harley Davidson and meet at the Manassas City Cemetery. A rain date is scheduled for September 17.
