Police: Victim Assaulted, Then Robbed at Gunpoint

Three men, one of whom was armed with a gun, stole a wallet from the victim.

 

Prince William County Police are investigating an armed robbery in the Westgate area. 

A 34-year-old Manassas man reported to police that he was walking near Portsmouth Road and Porter Ridge Lane when a stranger assaulted and knocked him to the ground. Two additonal men then approached. One of them was armed with a handgun and demanded money, police said. 

Police said the men took the victim's wallet and fled in a black Toyota Scion XB. The victim reported minor injuries. 

Police responded to the incident on Thursday at 5:06 a.m. They are on the lookout for three men:

  • The man who knocked the victim to the ground was described as about 6-foot-2, about 220 pounds with a heavy build, black, bald with brown eyes, between 20-30 years old. He was wearing black pants and a black shirt.
  • The armed man was described as about 5-foot-10, around 170 pounds, black with a thin build, bald and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and an orange sweater. 
  • The third man was wearing black pants and a black shirt. He was black, between 20-30 years old, with a heavy build.
