Romney has Florida, and will only be more solidified there after Monday's debate... Obama is going to get hammered on Benghazi, and his coverup efforts, and his only reply is going to be, well, I got Bin Laden... Well, sir, that doesn't trump a dead ambassador and three other diplomats...

Oink if you love Romney!
After Mitt's disastrous overseas tour, America can rest assured that the pampered plutocrat will lead us through the complicated foreign policy landscape when he couldn't even pull off a field trip of photo ops without stepping in it repeatedly.

Oink if you love Obama, the man who in 2008 said that the price of arugula was going up. Pampered plutocrat just because he has been a successful businessman? How about the hundreds of hours he spent actually working jobs side by side with blue collar and middle class workers? When has Obama ever gotten off his behind to do that?
Kathy Keith

The "disastrous overseas tour" was a media creation. Romney made one comment about the Olympics--something like we'll have to see what happens. He did say there were some concerning events which happened prior to the games. This was true. Should he have said it? Maybe not.
His trips to Israel and Poland were great successes for him--but went unreported.
Compare this to Obama's empty "rock star" visit to Europe before his election. That tour was nothing but staging---kind of like the Greek columns at his acceptance speech.
And, let's not forget Obama's "apology tour" to the Middle East. His bowing to the Saudi king. Giving an Ipad with his speeches on it to the queen of England. Giving back Churchill's bust. Giving Gordon Brown American DVD's that don't play on a European maching, etc.etc.

Well APL, I'll take some minor missteps over Obama's apology tour, which didn't do anything but embolden Islamic hardliners... Not to mention the disgrace in Libya, which Obama did everything he could to keep the truth from coming out... As far as I know, Romney isn't responsible for any U.S. diplomatic deaths... Unfortunately, Obama cannot make that claim...

Cheryl,
I know you will say this is from a right-wing organization. However, it includes 10 quotes (paragraphs) from speeches that Obama gave in 2009. Did he say "I apologize"? Maybe not. But he did say that America was wrong. In my mind, that is an apology.
And don't forget that Obama and Hillary Clinton just made apology videos about the internet video to run in Pakistan.
You may think he was right to do that. I do not.

Cheryl, you need to get your facts straight as much as APL does... If Romney only cared about money, he could have stayed at Bain Capital and not gone into public service... Your commentary defies common sense, and the portrayal of Romney as a corporate raider is just false... Lies by a desperate Obama campaign and their supporters...
http://www.factcheck.org/2012/06/obamas-outsourcer-overreach/
Trying to distract with comments about Romney's wealth, or Bain Capital, are efforts in futility... This election is about the current pitiful state of the ecnonomy, high unemployment rate, no new jobs, lower wages, the price of gas having doubled, $6 trillion in new debt, and the Benghazi tragedy and subsequent coverup efforts... Now those are all real issues that most American's care about...

"Indeed, on several occasions Bush apologized to foreign governments for actions taken by U.S. soldiers, such as for the shooting of a Koran or prisoner abuse in Iraq. “I told him I was sorry for the humiliation suffered by the Iraqi prisoners and the humiliation suffered by their families,” Bush said at a news conference with Jordan’s King Abdullah."

Kathy, I'm sure it won't shock you that I don't regard these as apolgies. We are a great country, but we need to realize we are not perfect. I realize Romney's whole persona is based on the fact he has never apologized for anything. While the President did not apologize for actions this country has taken which were ill-advised, he has acknowledged we could have done better. I agree with his assessment. You obviously believe we should have a president who will never admit any of his, or his country's, shortcomings. I think that only shows an arrogance that my well be essential for a venture capitalist, but it is a dangerous trait for a president.
Kathy Keith

Cheryl,
You are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, these were apologies according to the dictionary definition. If you think it was an appropriate thing to do, fine.
Unfortunately, we heard very little regret from these countries over the Jihad attacks in our country. President Obama has defined the Ft. Hood shootings as "workplace violence". The shooter had direct communication with an Al Queda operative and also yelled an Islamic phrase as he began the shooting.
The shooting of two soldiers in Little Rock has also been designated as "workplace violence". The shooter had been recruited by Islamists in Tennessee and had been sent for training in Yemen.
President Obama is in denial if he thinks he has destroyed Al Queda.

Cheryl, have you ever lived in a housing project? Ever been on welfare? ever been seen anyone take a book of food stamps, give a 5.00 foodstamp to each of 9 kids to buy 25 cents worth of candy so you can ge the change, then drive your kids to 3 differebnt stores so they could do it again, until you have enough change for a suitcase of beer and a carton of cigerettes? no? I have, I grew up that way. Fact is, you probably don't know what the 47% he is talkign about looks like close up. Well, i do, I was born to them and raised by them. I'll tell you what, Romney isn't wrong about the 47% who feel they are entitled to be taken care of by the government. Believe me, out of 9 kids who grew up in it, 7 are still there today, talk to my sister who is having a third child with no father at home. Our government gives her more mone for that, and even more if her man stays out of the house, so, whenever he needs to, he stays somwhere else, just long enough to say he doesn't live there, or they'll take her money away. They do this on purpose, and "You," pay for it, and there are many, many, people out there like this, and yes, they will tell you they expect it from you, and they "Will," get upset if you take it away, becasue they are entitled to it. See? Cheryl? You don't know how the 47% percent he is talking about live, and you don't want to see it, just pretned like it's not there, but hey, they'll take you money if you want to let it go so easily, in fact, they thin they deserve it.

Cheryl,
By not designating those events as terrorism, President Obama is denying certain benefits to the soldiers who were injured during the shooting. It means they do not get Purple Hearts and certain veteran's benefits. It also affects the benefits received by the survivors of those killed. This is not a matter of changing your mind, this is a deliberate decision so that they can say that "terrorism" has gone down. There is no other explanation.

I grew up poor. We didn't get public assistance. We often went without food, had no dental or medical care. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Romney's use of 47%, referring to people who would vote for Obama, and then continuing to say these same people pay no taxes, think they're entitled, is not true. The 47% voting for Obma come from all walks of life. I know there are people who cheat and the need to be dealt with. There really are working poor people. Thre are also people at the upper income levels who cheat, but when they do it people say they must be really smart to beat the system. Don't all people who need help are deadbeats. Most medicaid recipients are the elderly and children. I don't begrudge them that.

Mr. Romney's comments were talking about how BIG Government policies over the years have created a culture of dependency. The 47% Mr. Romney referred to has grown from 20-25% in the mid-70's. Cheryl,
I also grew up with very little. Things were better for my family by the time I reached High school.
I taught in the projects. No question, that the children need lots of help. I firmly believe that all people love their children, but alcoholism and drugs certainly take a toll on children. I am all for food stamps--but there needs to be some type of fail safe to keep them from being exchanged for money for drugs. Sad when schools have to send home baggies of food for the children to eat on the weekends.
People need jobs-not welfare.

Romney is not against closing the loophole. Granted, in the many interviews I have seen about 'carried interest', Mr. Romney has punted on the question. It does not mean he is against closing it. Like Paul Ryan said at the VP debate, you start out with a budget framework, then negotiate the details. Mr. Ryan's budget has received bipartisan support. How many Democrats voted for President Obama's budget that he tried to ram down our throats?
Jim Moran has voted for $4.7 trillion in new taxes with the last Congressional Progressive (Communist) Caucus budget. Considering that raising rates on the wealthy will bring in around $40 billion this year, where's the $ for the new taxes gonna come from?
http://redalexandriava.com/2012/03/31/jim-moran-blasts-paul-ryans-budget-but-wheres-his-plan-video/
Look, everyone has an interest in taxes -- rates, deductions, credits, loopholes. Trouble is, one person's deduction is another's loophole. So, what's fair?
Romney says what would be fair is to simplify the tax code by lowering tax rates across the board 20 percent and limiting deductions for the wealthy to make up the loss in revenue, ending some altogether. He's also stated he's willing to keep the top rates the same as now. Let's hope, if he's elected, that he can break the gridlock in D.C. for the better of all of us.
