So I went to ______ coffee shop yesterday with the cravings for chocolate. I made my order simple. "Hi, may I please have a mocha?" I
scooped it from the bar, I sipped it, I trashed it. Have you ever felt bad about
skipping out on your morning brew? Don't. Treat yourself to something better.
How about a Nutella latte? It's like having the combination of coffee and a
sandwich *drull roll* with chocolate. Sounds weird, right? Now think of a rich
hazelnut chocolate spread instead of your typical cocoa mix. Then add espresso
with steamed milk and topped off with whipped cream. Don't miss out again. Come by Dream Cafe for your own handcrafted Nutella latte or Nutella hot chocolate. Guaranteed to bring you picnic memories and not the inside of a trash
can.

This is the worst 'article' I have ever read on the Patch. If it is supposed to be an advertisement, it is the worst ad copy I have ever read. Have you been hacked?

Hi Ms. Gardner, oh no!! I'm sorry the article left a bad taste in your mouth. I can assure you the real nutella latte will earn a spot in your heart. This beverage is a stroke genius and art in its simplicity. It took us only a few words to describe how its made, "nutella, steamed milk, esspresso, whip cream". But you're right there are sentences in the article that make it seem very "ad'sy", possibly the part where it says "Come by Dream Cafe"? Or maybe the casual and conversational tone? Our aim is to make it clear and informative, quick and friendly. Nonetheless, I digress, we invite you to come by and try it for yourself.

How about the 'sentence' Guaranteed to bring you picnic memories and not the inside of a trash
can. ?
I read the Patch articles for local flavor, not Pulitzer content, but this one seems a little too casual.

Hi Ms. Gardner, Yes, I see what you mean, leaving the word "trash can" would have made it a much more positive read. For next post, we'll make sure to leave such things out and put something nicer as you mentioned. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Hi Robin,
Patch has a 'Local Voices' section filled with content from local bloggers to include business owners, public officials, activists, enthusiasts, etc. Ms. Suarez is a barista at a local coffee shop that residents/readers frequent often. She is doing us (those who frequent Dream Cafe, including myself) a favor by keeping us up-to-date about a new product. Thanks for your comments, and thank you Ms. Suarez for telling us about this new drink. I will be by to try one soon!

Erin -
Thanks for your input! I am a regular Patch reader and the post did not seem up to your usual standards. I actually live quite close to the new cafe and may check them out myself!

Thanks Robin. I will be at Dream Cafe this Friday morning for a few hours from 9:30 a.m. to about noon if you want to stop by and say, hi! I want to be clear that our bloggers are not paid journalist; their content is meant to simply inform our readers. I am sorry that you thought the post was 'not up to standards' but this blogger is a barista not a journalist; and I think her message was clear: come try our new creation, the Nutella Latte. Well, it at least worked for me because I am going Friday to try one!
