College Students need our guidance!! It is imperative that we provide programming to teach our 20 something’s (and high school seniors) the possible pitfalls regarding:
- · Posting inappropriate pictures on Facebook – helping them to understand the personal and legal consequences
- · Negative comments and inappropriate language on line- sharing stories of how these things have affected acceptance into graduate school or dream job for others their age
- · Online dating – Stories from college campus police regarding rapes and home invasions from people pretending to be people they are NOT
- · Legal ramifications of taking videos of others and posting them online
- · How your online persona can affect impressions of you with regards to looking for jobs
- · Cyberbullying – you, a friend or someone you don’t know
- · Sexting – personal and legal consequences…a lifetime of humiliation
