This group’s purpose is to organize regular acoustic jam sessions in a supportive and friendly environment. This is not an open mic. As I see it, the purpose of an open mic is for an individual to prepare a 15-20 min performance and present it to an audience. In contrast, the purpose of this group is to offer the individual, novice to advanced, an opportunity to play with others in a relaxed group environment.
Come and listen, play or sing. There are beginners who have only been playing a few months and professional players. Anyone may suggest a song. The chords are written on a white board so everyone can see them. And the groups jumps in and plays and sings. You will find that many of the players will offer tips and insight. It’s an easy going fun group open to meeting new people. It's free, and often there is pizza!

Nova Music Center is a family-run store that sells musical instruments and print music. It also offers private and group lessons as well as music camps, workshops, open jams and community choir. Musical instrument rental and repair services are offered as well. The store features audio/visual work stations that are available for rent and include such programs as Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools and Digital Performer.
