 ojenko\, piano\n&nbsp\;\nSince its founding shortly after World War II\,
  this grand orchestra has developed an extremely diverse repertoire rang
 ing from Baroque through 20th Century music. Their moving performances o
 ften include compositions by Vivaldi\, Bach\, and Handel as well as Stra
 vinsky and Poulenc&mdash\;and\, of course\, works by the great Russian c
 omposers Rachmaninoff\, Shostakovich\, Prokofiev\, and Tchaikovsky. The 
 orchestra also regularly commissions and performs new works each season.
  Under the direction of music director and chief conductor Roman Leontie
 v\, The Tschaikowski St. Petersburg State Orchestra performs an exciting
  program\, featuring Wagner&rsquo\;s Overture from Der fliegende Holl&au
 ml\;nder (The Flying Dutchman)\, Prokofiev&rsquo\;s Symphony No. 5 in B-
 flat major\, Op. 100\, and Chopin&rsquo\;s Concerto No. 2 in F minor\, O
 p. 21 with internationally celebrated pianist Alexandre Pirojenko.
