Meet local author Robert Scott

Meet local author Robert Scott, Thurs., Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. at Grounds Central Station, 9360 Main Street, Old Town Manassas.  Scott is a member of Write by the Rails, the Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Writers Club.

Robert Scott splits his time between writing, parenting, teaching English at Osbourn Park High School, and hoping one day to lead the NY Giants in a dramatic, fourth quarter comeback. Sadly, he's nearly devoid of athletic ability.

Scott has published an epic fantasy-adventure series, "The Eldarn Sequence," consisting of "The Hickory Staff" (Gollancz, 2005), "Lessek's Key" (Gollancz, 2006), and "The Larion Senators" (Gollancz, 2007). Between that series and his latest novels, he published a collection of short stories for young readers, "The Great M&M Caper" (2009). Recently, he's been working to finish an in-progress series of crime/horror novels, "15 Miles" (Gollancz, 2010) and "Asbury Park" (Gollancz, 2012).  He has two additional books he’s hoping to release in the next year as well. One is the final book in the crime/horror series, and one is a slice-of-life novel about a 43 year-old woman working through a difficult divorce.
