Prince William County Students Go Green with Dominion's Project Plant It!

Hundreds of third-grade students in Prince William County Public Schools were enrolled in Dominion’s Project Plant It! program this spring. They learned how trees benefit the ecosystem with educational lesson plans and got a redbud tree seedling to plant in honor of Arbor Day on April 25. Pictured are third-graders from Loch Lomond Elementary School in Manassas. They planted a tree on the school grounds on May 2 with assistance from Hunter Woods (far left), Senior Distribution Forestry Coordinator and Lauren Barton (on right behind tree), Customer Projects Designer, both with Dominion, parent company of Dominion Virginia Power.
