At-risk groups should avoid strenuous activity or long periods of time outdoors.
A code orange air quality alert has been issued for today, July 11R in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
Combined with the forecasted temperatures of a high of 97 on Monday and 99 on Tuesday, this level of air pollution means that residents should avoid lengthy or strenuous activity outside.
This warning is especially relevant to high risk groups such as children, those with asthma, those with heart or lung diseases, and the elderly.
