Flood Warning for Western Prince William, Surrounding Area

Streams are still rising, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood warning remains in effect until 9:15 a.m. for urban areas and small streams in western Prince William County, as well as Fauquier, western Loudoun, eastern Culpeper and easter Orange counties.

According to the National Weather Service, most of the rain has ended, but numerous streams were out of their banks and numerous roads were closed.

"Streams are still rising, so it is very likely the warning will be extended," according to the NWS.

A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
