It’s going to be a little cooler than last week, but not by much, so take a peak at our list of things to do in Manassas this week to help your family beat the heat.

• Head over to the Central Community Library and pick up July’s monthly mind bender contest form and complete it with the whole family. This month’s topic is “Amazing Tales Around the World.” You could win a new book if you submit your correct answers! The contest ends on July 30. A new contest will begin on Aug. 1 featuring “Fun at the Beach.”

• Find some treats at the Manassas Farmers’ Market in Old Town Manassas on July 28 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and July 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

• Enjoy the Beowulf T. Wonderbunny’s Traveling Show of Mystery with Magician Tom Lilly performance at Central Community Library on July 27 at 10:30 a.m.

• Check out the Books are a Blast performance starring Magician Tom Lilly and Beowulf T. Wonderbunny on July 27 at 3 p.m.

• Make a “Bubbles Everywhere” craft at Bull Run Regional Library on July 27 at 7 p.m. as part of the Together at Twilight series.

• Enjoy a movie based on a book at Central Community Library on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.

• Learn about Stonewall Jackson, the First Brigade and the Creation of Legend at the History at Sunset event at Manassas Battlefield Park on July 30 from 7-8:30 p.m.

• Check out the 150xFIVE: Five Manassas Artists Reflect on the 150th exhibit at the Creative Brush Studio until July 31.

• Check out the Remains to Be Scene: Artists and Virginia’s Historic Places exhibit at Hylton Performing Arts Center everyday this week.
