Manassas Nonprofit Hides Golden Tickets Willy Wonka Style

No Willy Wonka Oompa-Loompas, but how about Santa's Elves?

"I've got a golden ticket" may be a line right out of the 1971 film, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," but five fortunate people will soon be singing it through the streets of Manassas.

Historic Manassas Inc. the nonprofit visitors center for the city, has hidden five golden tickets in chocolate bars sold by Old Town Manassas businesses. Scoring one means an invitation to ride with Santa Claus on his float in the 68th Annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade on Dec. 7.
So far, two of the five tickets were found, Historic Manassas staff said this week on the nonprofit's Facebook page

The chocolate bars are being sold at these Manassas businesses until Dec. 6 or until all the tickets are discovered:
Social Butterfly
Opera House Gift and Gourmet
Echoes at the Manassas Museum
