"From about 2:15 to 6:15 a.m. late last night and early morning we had about 1,500 power outages in the Weems and Point of Woods areas due to down trees," Moon said. "As of right now, power has been restored and everything is back on."

"We had our public works crews out all night responding to routine service calls associated with a major storm. No significant flooding, just blocked up drains...from talking with everyone it seems we dodged the bullet on this one."

The banks of Broad Run along Piper Lane near the airport were swollen but the water did not crest over. Small amounts of debris were moving swiftly in the large stream with no major issues.
