New Extended Stay Hotel Opens in Manassas Area

A new, extended-stay hotel is now open for business in the Manassas area of Prince William County, not far from Manassas National Battlefield Park, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The Value Place Hotel at 10910 Balls Ford Rd. is the second Washington, DC-area located to open this year by the Wichita-based hotel chain.
The first opened in Maryland, near Andrews Air Force Base.

"The DC area market is a great fit for us," Value Place chief executive officer Dan Weber said in a  PR NewsWire press release.  "We can meet the need for short or longer-term lodging with our simple, clean, safe properties, while providing exceptional value to guests."

The four-floor Manassas hotel boasts 124 rooms equipped with full kitchens and wireless Internet service.
The hotel's proximity to Interstate 66, Route 234 and the District make it convenient for corporate, leisure and military travelers staying in the area, hotel officials said.
