Prince William Writers Club Releases Anthology

The publication features work by local writers. Some of the proceeds from book sales with go to local nonprofits.

Write by the Rails, the Prince William Chapter of the Virginia Writers Club, has produced "New Departures," an anthology of fiction, poetry and memoirs by members of the networking group.

 The anthology includes “Chapter 24” from "A Kind Of Rescue" by Robert Bausch, author and English professor at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge Campus; “Exit” by romance novelist Carole Bellacera; “Traveling the Irish Rails with Norman” by “Days of Steam” blogger Chip Deyerle; “Trains and Sex” a humorous short story by freelance writer and Manassas resident Cindy Brookshire; “My God Rides the Metro” by Bristow author Katherine Mercurio Gotthardt; and “Train Song” by “Biscuit City” blogger Dan Verner. 

 Other local authors included in the volume are: Tracey E. Brooks, Leigh Giza, Alexandra Hailey, Kelly Harman, Carole Keily, Paul Keily, June Kilpatrick, Peggy Kimmey, Nancy Kyme, Teddy McCormick, Alan Meyrowitz, Jan Rayl, Maggie Rogers, Stuart Schadt, Yvette Soliz and Nancy West.

The books are $7 each and are available at Createspace.com.  The book will be available on Amazon.com on Thanksgiving.
