Arts Free for All at Hylton Center This Weekend

The second annual Family Day celebration hosted by the Hylton Performing Arts Center will take place this Sunday, May 1.

Prince William County performing arts students will rock the house on Sunday, May 1, at the second annual Family Day celebration hosted by the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

Outstanding student ensembles of all ages will entertain audiences free of charge from 1:00-5:00PM in the Hylton Center’s elegant Merchant Hall.

Participants include: the Dance Ensemble, Center for the Fine and Performing Arts at Woodbridge Senior High School; Battlefield Brass Quintet, Battlefield High School; Jammin’ in the Jungle xylophone ensemble, Mary Williams Elementary School; and the Troubadours choral group, Hylton High School.

The event, sponsored by United Bank, offers student groups an opportunity to experience performing before audiences in Merchant Hall’s 1,121 seat amphitheater.

Jean Kellogg, the Hylton Center’s executive director, says “It’s also a way of saying thank you to our partners who made the Hylton Center possible.”

Barbecue lunches will be sold on the Hylton Center’s terrace.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center is located on George Mason University’s Prince William Campus at 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA. Free parking is available. For more information, visit www.hyltoncenter.org.
