Casting Call: Meg Ryan Looking for Young Actors in Virginia

Film produced by Tom Hanks to shoot this summer near Richmond.

A new film from Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan will be filming this summer near Richmond and the production crew will be scouting for young talent Sunday, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

An open casting call for young male actors 4-14 years old will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at ArtWorks, 320 Hull Street, Richmond. 

The film, "Ithaca," is produced by Tom Hanks and will be directed by Meg Ryan. Ryan will also star in the film, adapted from the novel "The Human Comedy."

“We are searching for outgoing boys between 4 and 14 years old for a variety of roles, both speaking and background opportunities," casting director Erica Arvold said in a statement. "
No experience is necessary and all ethnicities are encouraged to attend the open call on Sunday.”
