Sept. 29 is Drug Take Back Day
Dispose of your expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs in several locations across the county.
Area police will be joining the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in "Drug Take Back" day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 29.
In Manassas, City of Manassas Police will be collecting expired, unwanted or unused prescription drugs at at 8700 Sudley Rd.
In Haymarket, Prince William County Police will be collecting prescription drugs at the Heathcote Health Center at 15195 Heathcoat Blvd.

Across the county in Lake Ridge, police will collect prescription drugs at the newly opened Sentara Lake Ridge facility at 12825 Minnieville Rd. in Lake Ridge.
"Last April, Americans turned in 552,161 pounds—276 tons—of prescription drugs at over 5,600 sites operated by the DEA and nearly 4,300 state and local law enforcement partners," said the City of Manassas Police Department in a release.
