Manassas Private Plane Company Named Top Jet Service

Metropolitan Aviation is based at the Manassas Regional Airport.

The jet setters at Metropolitan Aviation are on cloud nine.
The Manassas based private jet and charter company was again named the number one charter jet service in Northern Virginia by Virginia Living magazine.

More than 25,000 people voted in the competition, a spokesperson for Metropolitan Aviation said.
It is the second year in a row the company earned the number one spot; it won the magazine's same award in 2012.

"Metropolitan Aviation is proud to have received the Virginia Living honor in both 2012 and 2013," Jackie Dalton a spokeswoman for the company, said. "The charter jet company will continue to provide the same consistent and unique service that earned the company such acclaim the past two years."

Alan R. Cook, CEO and founder of Metropolitan Aviation also owns Airfare Cafe, an American eatery on Center Street in Old Town Manassas.

The cafe, which is still in its first year, offers patrons speciality dishes as well as some of the cuisine offered inflight on metropolitan's private jets.
