P.F. Chang’s China Bistro is investigating a possible security breach involving credit card and debit card data from its customers.
Data security blogger Brian Krebs reported banking officials say the cards were used at P.F. Chang’s locations nationwide between March and May 19 this year.
"P.F. Chang's takes these matters very seriously and is currently investigating the situation, working with the authorities to learn more. We will provide an update as soon as we have additional information," said Anne Deanovic, a spokesperson for P.F. Chang’s, in a statement.
The restaurant chain is based in Scottsdale, Ariz., but Northern Virginia locations include Fairfax City, Arlington, Tysons Corner and Woodbridge.
Until more information is released, residents who have eaten at the restaurant and paid with a debit or credit card should monitor their bills, bank statements and credit reports.
