Smashburger Set to Open this Month in Western Prince William County

Smashburger is located near Route 29 and Interstate 66 in Prince William County.

The blossoming western Prince William County suburb of Gainesville is the home of the newest Smashburger location in the Washington Metro area.

Smashburger, a restaurant chain built on the concept of offering the "better burger," will open Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m.

This is the seventh Smashburger location to open in the DC area. This includes locations in Fairfax, Vienna and Falls Church, a spokesman for the company said.

Smashburger held a media event on Tuesday to introduce Prince William County to the "smash-to-order burger," made purely from Angus beef. There is also the Smashchicken sandwich.

The "smash" in Smashburger is a nod to its signature technique, which employs a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the flavors of the meat.
The Denver-based Smashburger team said Gainesville was naturally the next choice for the brand's continued expansion in the area.

“ ... With Jiffy Lube Live (Amphitheater) nearby, one of the largest music oriented performance venues in the Washington Metropolitan Area, Gainesville was the ideal choice for our next better burger location," said Scott Crane, Chief Executive Officer of Smashburger in a prepared release.

The Gainesville location has a dining room that accommodates 48 and patio seating for 10.

It's located at 14082 Promenade Commons St. Gainesville. Store hours are from 10 to 10 p.m.
