Cat Needs Loving Home

Our 3 year-old Tabby (spayed and up to date with vaccinations) needs a new home where she can get all of the attention she craves.

She has been having "accidents" in various parts of our home (mostly on towels, jackets, blankets) for several months now because she does not get the attention she needs with 2 kids in school and 2 working adults.

She is a VERY sweet and affectionate cat, but we are just not enough for her.

Please contact me ASAP if you feel that your home would be right for her. She is bound for an animal shelter if I don't hear from someone soon, and I really don't want to do that.

I so agree with Barbara. Dumping your cat because she pees outside the litterbox is cruel. Take her to the vet first; she may have a urinary tract infection, the litter may not be to her liking or you are not keeping the box clean. I have been nursing a male cat through seizures for 2 years now. Never would I consider dumping him even though I have to put pee pads around his box and make sure that I have a clean box for him. I also have to clean up when he pees during a seizure - I think that is why there is carpet cleaner.

I may be able to help this cat, but more info is needed. How can I contact you? Please respond to hq@catsrule.org (Btw - Fairfax County Animal Shelter is NOT no-kill)

What others have mentioned about a possible medical condition is worth looking into. If, however, you're simply looking for a new home for your adorable cat (she looks a lot like my gray tabby) please contact Elsa. It looks like she's part of a no-kill cat rescue group. No-kill rescues fill up quickly and don't often have room so if she's reaching out to you, please reach back! I'm hoping for the best possible outcome for your cat. She deserves a loving forever home.

I so hope that you have reached out to Elsa, particularly if you are just looking to get rid of "Tabby." If I did not already have 3 cats, I would take Tabby from you. If you are going to keep Tabby then please do the right thing and take her to the vet; you need to find out why she is having accidents. I also would hope that someday you would tell all of us just what you going to do with Tabby or have already done. But please do not just dump this cat. Animal abuse has to stop.
