Over 2000 yellow rubber ducks plunged into the Occoquan River today and then took their sweet time getting to the dock in the Annual Duck Splash Race. The ducks were up for adoption to benefit the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition. : Osbourn Park High School graduate Opoku-Yeboah managed to pull off perfect attendance all the way through grade school. Seth, who graduated on Friday, went 13 years without missing a single day of class. He credits the success to having the mindset to do it and being surrounded by supportive people, including his mother and teachers. Seth opened up about how he reached his goal of perfect attendance throughout grade school,. 

: A Dale City family saw justice served this week, thanks to Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-11th). Connolly intervened on behalf of the family of fallen Dale City firefighter Cecilia Turnbough, 43, who will finally receive federal Public Safety Officers' Benefits, after previously being denied because Turnbough died during training and her status as a firefighter in the line of duty at the time of death was in question. She was a veteran Dale City volunteer EMT. of the story here.
