Community Corner

Christmas with Mercy (Children's Gift Drive)

Every year the House of Mercy reaches out to hundreds of kids throughout our community to provide toys, new shoes, new clothes and food for Christmas.   This exclusive program is for registered families in our Passport to Hope Program.   Working closely with Toys for Tots, area churches, organizations and generous individuals, our Christmas with Mercy program has brought thousands of smiles to poor children in our community.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Gift Cards to grocery stores, gas stations, or department stores

  • Gift Cards for new shoes

  • Financial donations

  • Unwrapped toys for kids 0-17 years old

  • New clothing

  • New electronic items

  • School Supplies

  • New Shoes

  • Movies/Books/CD’s

  • Toiletry supplies for teens

  • New winter coats

How it works:

Every registered family at the House of Mercy is eligible to participate in the Christmas with Mercy program provided their parents attend one of our financial management classes.   New family registration dates will be posted on our website, Facebook, Twitter and in our stores.

We encourage new families to apply if they are in need of assistance.   Please e-mail us at ihungerformercy@gmail.com   if you would like more information on what you’ll need for your personal interview with one of our intake counselors.
