Reaching the Many and the One

I don’t know about you, but one of my greatest pleasures is sitting down to read the Sunday paper. There’s something so relaxing about curling up on the sofa with a hot cup of coffee, The Washington Post and, of course, the dog. Often, I find articles that prompt me to think about a topic from a new perspective.

Recently, I read “Genderqueer” by Marion Cory. She recounts her journey and struggles as someone who doesn’t identify exclusively as either male or female. It got me thinking about people. Specifically, how unique we all are, and how a message that resonates with one person, doesn’t necessarily resonate with another. As multi-faceted, complex beings, we don’t fit neatly into categories. I was reminded again of the power of crafting messages that make a connection with an individual at a particular moment in time and mobilize that person to action – reaching the one as well as the many.

At ECU, our goal is to converse with you, our audience, and resonate with each individual no matter your race, gender, culture, age or language. By communicating uniquely with you, we create connections, relevance and trust. We specialize in highly targeted audience definition, focused use of social and online media, and marketing outreach that often includes multilingual and culturally specific advertising campaigns. At ECU we engage, as Marion Cory so eloquently states, the “innumerable identities and expressions” of who you are.
