Manassas Church Collecting Blankets for Syrian Refugees

The blankets will be accepted until Dec. 1.

Meetinghouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Virginia are collecting donated blanks for refugees of the Syrian Civil War now living in Turkey.  New and gently-used blankets are needed by the thousands of refugees because cold temperatures in the country, volunteers said.   

Bring freshly washed and folded blankets to these locations: 

14150 Upperridge Dr. in Centreville

8001 Barrett Dr. in Manassas

14015 Glenkirk Rd. in Gainesville

Donations will be accepted Sunday Nov. 24 from 9 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 1, 9 to 4 p.m.
