29th Annual Manassas Fall Jubilee

Pumpkin patch, rides, live music and the Chainsaw Chix!

With cool and crisp autumn temperatures predicted for this weekend, what better way to get into the seasonal change than at the Manassas Fall Jubilee?

For nearly 30 years, this annual event has taken place in Old Town Manassas each fall, offering plenty to do for the entire family. This year's event will occupy over 10 blocks from East Street to Grant Avenue and Church Street. to Prince William Street.

The streets will be filled with over 100 different artisans and crafters selling handcrafted jewelry, children clothing, woodcrafts, lotions and other special items. Some exhibitors will also be raffling off items throughout the day.

The 'Kid's Neighborhood' will feature the Wegman's Pumpkin Patch where children can pick out and decorate their very own baby pumpkin, get their face painted and participate in an array of games and activities provided by Boy Scout's Troop 670.

Fun rides provided by Jumpworks include multiple moonbounces, Water Wars, Spider Climb and the Bungee Jump.

The Adult stage will be located at the corner of Main and Center streets and will feature Live music from local bands Everwilde, No Charge and The Rockersons.

Want to learn a few new dance moves? A new attraction at this year's event is a interactive dance area where local dancers will be on hand teaching the crowd how to boogy.

The most unique group at the Jubilee, and back for a second year in a row, will be the Chainsaw Chix.

An eclectic group of chainsaw-wielding women from around the world that specialize in wood carvings. 'The Chix,' as they like to be called, will woo the audience with their chainsaw carving techniques and wood sculptures.

The Pennsylvania based group will be performing from 10am-3pm, then their works of art will be on display from 3-3:30, followed by an auction of the piece's at 3:30pm.

The Manassas Fall Jubilee will be held this Saturday, October 1st from 10am-5pm. Entrance and parking at the event is free. More information is available on Historic Manassas, Inc. website.
