Fifth Annual Northern Virginia Fall BrewFest

Fall festival this weekend featuring over 40 different breweries from all around the world.

With chilly Autumn air settling in this weekend grab your favorite sweatshirt and cozy up at the 5th annual Northern Virginia Fall Brewfest.

The 2-day event at Bull Run park in Centreville begins this Saturday and will feauture over 40 different breweries from around the world.

Big names like Samuel Adams, Newcastle and Sierra Nevada will have stands set up as well as a local favorites Old Dominion, Legend and Vintage 50.

With the event taking place during the month of October attendees can expect to sip on plenty of Pumpkin Ale & Octoberfest crafted microbrews. Mad Fox, a local brewery based out of Falls Church will have their Punkinator - a pumpkin beer that is made from 250 lbs of Cinderella heirloom pumpkins and pumpkin pie spice.

The entrance fee will get you a commerative 6.75 oz sampling glass and four sample tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 a piece with beers costing 1-2 tickets. Beer pours will be between 5-6 ounces, about half of a full size beer.

Besides sipping on homemade, handcrafted brews and watching the fall foliage descend to the ground there will also be live music. The big lineup includes local reggae band Jah Works, Chris Callat Band and Andy Hawk and the Train Wreck Endings.

Arts and crafts vendors and exhibits will also be set up on the grounds. Old Virginia Tobacco will be featuring their premium cigars and Stella & Dot will have their highly-sought after jewelry and handbags for sell, which have been featured in In Style & Vogue magazine.

The Brewfest will take place at the Special Events Center at Bull Run Saturday and Sunday; gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Beer will stop being poured an hour before closing. No pets or outside food and drink allowed. An ATM will be available and credit cards are accepted at the gate for entrance fee, which are $30 for adults at the gate or $20 in advance. Children 16 and under are free and designated driver tickets are $20.
